Weekly Bulletin

The Weekend of July 26, 2026

First Wednesday Worship Night

They've been on hold while we moved and dug ourselves out of all those bins, but RVFM First Wednesday Worship nights are back!  Impact Church in New Richmond, WI is hosting August 5 @630pm.  They are located at 410 St. Croix Ave.  Let's all join together there for a night of worship to The Lord.  It'll make your week!

The Next Race Outreach is Coming Up QUICKLY!

Yes, we've got a race this weekend...but the next race is in just a couple of weeks!  THEN we'll have time to breathe before the final one of the season.  Pastor Peter could use some volunteers to help marshal and keep the runners safe and on track Saturday, August 8.  Reach out to him and let him know you're in!

"Neighbors Day" Community Outreach

Our summer interns are planning a Houlton "Neighbor Day", basically a community social outreach here at the church Saturday, August 15th from 4-7PM.
The goal and vision of this event is to engage with our neighbors in Houlton and surrounding communities, establish relationships, and bless them with an outlet to fellowship and simply have fun. We would really love to show them the love of Christ, while introducing ourselves more formally to the community.
The entire Church is invited; however, we will definitely need help!  Contact the church office for more details, or if you already know you want to be part, scan the code or CLICK HERE!

Cleaning Day

We are finally sort of getting some things into place post-move.  We're prepping for a big fall kick-off of classes and such, and a group of volunteers are helping with a final "push" to get some rooms cleaned and ready to go Saturday morning, August 22.  We'll supply some donuts at 9am, lay out the game plan, then get 'er done!  With a group we'll get a lot accomplished in a short period of time, and be ready for fall...which is a lot closer than we want to think about!!

Financial Peace University

Not wanting to rush fall at all, but we're planning already, and want you to know what's coming up.  Two of our Elders, Greg K and Jason J will once again be hosting Financial Peace University.  The class will be held here at CPC on Tuesday evenings starting at 6:30 beginning September 15.
We'll have you sign-up the old school way at the info table, pay the church for the membership (which is $84.30--discounted from $130).  Then Jason will get you a workbook and email your membership with access to all the materials for the class.  Watch for more details, and a sign-up sheet at the table in the hall.

Senior Survey

Last week, we started a Seniors Survey. If you are above the age of 55, we would love to know what you think!  The aim of this survey is to improve and understand the experience of seniors in our local community, enriching the spaces they occupy, and lives that they live.  CLICK HERE to complete the survey online right now, or we have paper copies at the info table with Intern Lori.

Small Groups Survey

A couple of weeks ago we had a Small Groups Survey. If you didn't respond at that time, we would love to continue to get input and interest on that, too.   CLICK HERE for that survey.  Look for more about this at the table again this week after service, too!

Go Joe Coffee is Back!

Go Joe Specialty Coffees is open Sundays before service!  Find them in Room 23, just outside the gym/sanctuary doors.  Listen for the sound of happy latte-lovers and the psssshshhhhhhhhh of the steaming wand, and follow the smell of freshly made specialty coffee drinks prior to service starting!

Like Dirt Under Your Fingernails?

Kayla M is heading up our gardening group that is continuing to take care of the gardens that the elementary school kids planted this spring!  Contact the church office, or Kayla personally, to find out what day/time they'll be working this week, or if you have any questions.

Crossing Point Church Phones

We have phones at CPC!  If you're needing to get in contact with the office and want to call, you can do that.  The number is above in theoretically unreadable format for bots and terminators...we'll see!

Download Our App!

Download our CPC church app from your app store today!  Actually at this point it might still be listed as RVCC in the store...still working on that!  [We'll find lots of these types of things.  If you notice something let us know at the church office, thanks!]
There are all sorts of features, and we're tweaking it to make it even more helpful as a way to stay connected.  Service video is streamed there as well as on our YouTube channel.  There are groups for communicating and chatting with others in the CPC family, and much more!  Search for "RVCC Lake Elmo" or CLICK HERE.

2026 Daily Bible Reading Plan!

One of our top goals as a church is always to help you keep up on (or get into) a daily Bible reading habit.  We have a daily reading program available on our app, so it's seriously easy to follow along!
Open the app on your device, click "Bible" on the bottom menu.
From the Bible portion of the app, click "Plan" to take you to the daily readings!
Get into the daily habit now, even if it's not our particular program! We want you to get the WORD in YOU! Contact the church office if you have questions.

Diaper Donations

We are always accepting diaper and wipes donations for Options for Women-St. Croix Valley. As a church we're not anti-abortion but PRO-LIFE, and try to back that up by helping out mothers who choose life for their child. This is an easy way to do that. Organizationally we support Options with a monthly monetary donation, but diapers are one item they always need to help support the mothers relying on their services. Whenever you are shopping and pick some up, drop them off with Pastor Greg at the front office the next time you come to church, and he will make sure they get to OFW.

Elders Ministry

If you would like to connect with one of our Elders for any reason during the week, contact the church office and we'll get you in touch!

Take Us With You

Podcast listeners can listen to audio from our Sunday morning services on several platforms. Find us on Apple Podcasts [CLICK HERE], and Spotify [CLICK HERE].  Subscribe and listen anywhere, any time, however you like to listen!
We also have an RVFM Podcast gathering messages from our affiliated churches in one spot.  [CLICK HERE] if you use Spotify, and [CLICK HERE] if you're an Apple Podcast user!
If you have trouble with any of these, or prefer a different service to these two, contact Pastor Greg in the church office and he'll try to help you sort it out.

Here is a summary of groups and classes we have going on currently during the week. Most of these are included on the Church Calendar.

The Bridge Small Group

The Bridge is all about connecting people and building community by bridging life stages and interest groups within the church. We’re a fun and active group that loves spending time together through outdoor games, shared meals, and meaningful fellowship. Whether you're new to the church or have been around for a while, The Bridge offers a welcoming space, hosted by Jeremy and Joy S at their beautiful home in River Falls. Meeting every Fridays at 5:30-8:30pm.  1st & 3rd Fridays will be social/fun/games/etc., 2nd & 4th Fridays will be a Bible study.
Questions about directions can be directed towards Jeremy or Joy, or contact the church office.

Walking In Your Authority

"Walking in Your Authority" meets from 6-8pm on the second Fridays of each month at our elders Dennis and Cathy D's home in River Falls, WI. Knowing your authority allows you to fulfill the call God has on your life to do great exploits! Talk to Dennis, Cathy, or the church office for directions and details.

Men of Valor

We're not planning a Men of Valor men's breakfast in August.  Those Saturdays on the church's calendar are awfully full, and the date we would have normally had one is the same as the Neighbor Day outreach, so we hope everyone who would come to the breakfast will volunteer to help with that instead.  We're planning the next one for Saturday, September 12 @8am.  Book it!

Equipping and Encouraging Women

Our next scheduled Equipping and Encouraging Women breakfast group is August 15.  It will be a flower arranging workshop and pitch-in breakfast!  We'll have complete details announced next week!

Pre-Service Prayer

We have some dedicated young people who are committed to heading up this pre-service prayer time and cover our Sunday mornings with prayer.  Join them Sundays at 9am in or around the new building somewhere this week!

Opportunities To Serve

Pretty much all our ministries around the church are looking for volunteers.  Especially with the move into the new facility now we need extras of several ministries, and then some, with increased maintenance, etc.  Security is one that we need to expand, just to make sure the extra entrances and children's area are watched.
Our Hospitality Ministry, which includes the Greeter, Usher, Info Table, and Cookie Ministries is looking to include more volunteers. If you are interested, talk to Pastor Peter, or contact the church office.
Our Children's Ministry is looking for some volunteers, too. What an incredible opportunity to advance the Kingdom by helping bring them up in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord." Talk to Pastor Shiloh or contact the church office about this, too! A background check is required to work with our Children's Ministry.

Giving to CPC

If you would like to donate to Crossing Point Church and its ministries, etc. you can mail a check to the church office.  At this point, until we get all the "new name" financial stuff legally switched over, please continue to write RVCC on any checks.  If giving by mail, please use our new address:  70 Houlton School Circle, Houlton, WI  54082.  Or give online now from right here on this page:

The Fast Talk At The End Of The Commercial

OBLIGATORY LEGAL NOTICE OF RELEASE OF CROSSING POINT CHURCH, ITS SUCCESSORS, ASSIGNS AND LICENSEES FROM ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER OF ANY NATURE! We live-stream and record our service, so your presence here constitutes your consent to be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded, and for CPC to use the recording without compensation in any and all media for as long as it exists. No, we're not anticipating making a boatload of money off of an image of the back of your head, or you worshipping with your hands in the air...but we figured it would be a good idea to let you know you could end up on our livestream, social media, etc.
IF you would rather opt out of having your image posted online, please contact the church office and let us know.
