Getting to Know You with Pastor Jon and Debbie Wednesday, October 28!  "GtKY" is less a "class" than a conversation.  It is geared toward new-er attendees to CPC. We can tell you all sorts of things about us and our organization, but we'd like to know YOU, too.

We're invited again to take part in the All Saints Sing!  We've been part of it for the past few years, and it's an amazing time of worship and praise as "The Church" in the St. Croix Valley.
This year it's at noon on Saturday, October 31 in Lowell Park on the riverfront in downtown Stillwater.  The event is held rain, snow, sleet, shine, whatever.  Bring a camp chair if you need a place to sit.  Here's an invitation video:

Sunday, November 1 is Name Tag Sunday!  When entering church that morning the Remnant Warrior Small Group will help you with a stick-on name tag.  Write your name and how long you have been attending this church.  Then, greet a few extra people with whom you are not acquainted.

It was scheduled previously, but not advertised adequately, so we've rescheduled the meeting where we'll let anyone interested know where the process is, and how the finances for the whole sanctuary addition stand after service on Sunday, November 15.  We could have had the meeting last week like it was originally scheduled, but we don't want to appear to be trying to sneak anything by so be prepared to hear about this...extensively...in the next few weeks.  Not "election ad" annoyingly, but enough to make sure everyone has the information!

Save the date:  Sunday, December 13 will be when Pastor Peter is installed as officially, "The Guy" in charge of Crossing Point Church!  Originally, we were planning on doing it during our usual morning service, but the other pastors of RVFM wanted to be able to be here for it, so we're doing it up big.  There'll be some out-of-town guests, and a pitch-in appetizers/lunch/social time here at the church until the other pastors can get here after their services.  Plan to spend some extra time with your CPC family that day!  More details will be announced as we get closer to the date.

We're planning a choir for our Christmas Eve service again this year!  If you would like to participate, please scan the code, or CLICK HERE to let us know.  There'll be some practices leading up to the service, then the big night on December 24 with the service starting at 4:30pm.  It's a wonderful time, and we'd love to have a part of it!

We have multiple, limited commitment small groups meeting.  Running for a set period of time, you'll not need to commit for the rest of your life or more, just until Thanksgiving or so.  They are a great way to build some relationships and get to know others who are part of CPC!

Options for Women-St. Croix Valley is looking for a Part-Time Patient Advocate to join their team!  If you are compassionate, organized, enjoy working with people, and share their commitment to the mission of OFWSCV, they’d love to hear from you.
The position is 1–3 days/week Monday–Saturday in Stillwater.

Here is the latest prayer request text they sent to supporters:   "Please pray for a patient who is scheduled to come in Saturday for a pregnancy test. She indicated she is considering abortion. Pray that God would minister to her heart and guide her toward choosing life for her baby, whether through parenting or adoption.
Thank you for praying!"

As a church, we're not anti-abortion but PRO-LIFE, and try to back that up by helping out mothers who choose life for their child.
To make it easy to do that, we are always accepting diaper and wipes donations for Options for Women-St. Croix Valley.  Organizationally we support Options with a monthly monetary donation, but diapers are one item they always need to help support the mothers relying on their services. Whenever you are shopping and pick some up, drop them off with Pastor Greg at the front office the next time you come to church, and he will make sure they get to OFW.

One of our top goals as a church is always to help you keep up on (or get into) a daily Bible reading habit.  We have a daily reading program available on our app, so it's seriously easy to follow along!

From the Bible portion of the app, click "Plan" to take you to the daily readings!
Get into the daily habit now, even if it's not our particular program! We want you to get the WORD in YOU! Contact the church office if you have questions.

We've had some issues with our app since we moved and changed names.  If you find it download our CPC church app from your app store today!  Actually, at this point it might still be listed as RVCC in one store...still working on it, but it should be cleared up soon!
There are all sorts of features, and we're tweaking it to make it even more helpful as a way to stay connected and have information.  Service video is streamed there as well as on our YouTube channel.  There are groups for communicating and chatting with others in the CPC family, and much more!  Search for "Crossing Point Church" or CLICK HERE.

We usually have teams of Elders praying with people at the end of service on Sunday mornings.  If you would like to connect with one of our Elders for any reason during the week, contact the church office and we'll get you in touch!

Here is a summary of groups and classes we have going on currently during the week. Most of these are included on the Church Calendar.

Our Freedom Group meets here at CPC on Monday evenings at 7pm. It is a Bible-based chemical dependency group coordinated by our Elders Wayne & Patrice B. Contact the church office for more information.

Our CREW Young Adult group gets together on Mondays at 6:30pm. Contact the church office or talk to Pastor Peter for more information.

Did anyone see THIS STORY on the news not that long ago?  it looks awfully familiar to many of us who are alumni of FPU!
Once again, this fall, two of our Elders, Greg K and Jason J, are hosting Financial Peace University.  The class is held here at CPC on Tuesday evenings starting at 6:30.  

Tuesdays at 6pm Linda B teaches an intimate study on the Gospel of John.   If you have questions about the group, please contact the church office.

Healing Hearts meets first and third Tuesdays at 6pm at our Elder Cathy D's home office in River Falls, WI. It is a confidential group for ladies 18+ who have been betrayed in a relationship. You are welcome at any time to jump in and join.
Know it's the enemy who would want to keep you isolated. This group is here to listen, love, pray, and stand with you.

If you've got time during the week you can always join us for prayer!  Our Wednesday morning prayer group meets at 10am here at the church.  It usually goes for about an hour.  Everyone is welcome to come in and pray!

We have Wednesday night classes for the whole family here at CPC!  Some meet every week, others every other.  Here's a list of what's going on and when, with descriptions of the classes and groups below.  All start at 6:30pm.

Here is an explanation of each current adult class/group.

One of our classes is "Going Strong," taught by John H.  It begins with the premise from Genesis 6:3 that God has always intended His people to live to at least 120.   And that at 120 we should be like Moses ( Deut 34:7 "And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated." KJV).
Part of the approach to that is Isaiah 9:7. "Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this." (KJV)  
John explains, "I used to think this scripture said Jesus’s kingdom would go on forever. It does, but more specifically it says that of the increase of both His kingdom and His shalom will continue forever. It is the expectation of my safety, well-being, health, prosperity and overall peace always improving and increasing."

Another group meeting every week is Walking Together.  It's just what it sounds like.  Debbie N leads this group in taking advantage of the fantastic trail right outside our front door, and you'll...walk together!  It will continue until weather makes it unfeasible.

Buddy S is teaching this class on the Gospel of Matthew.  We got a glimpse into what that is going to look like a few Sundays ago.  This class has ample opportunity to dig into the text, the context, and really learn some things!

Our White Bear Lake/Mahtomedi area small group meets on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8pm. Please contact the church office to get connected for more information!

The Bridge is all about connecting people and building community by bridging life stages and interest groups within the church. We’re a fun and active group that loves spending time together through outdoor games, shared meals, and meaningful fellowship. Whether you're new to the church or have been around for a while, The Bridge offers a welcoming space, hosted by Jeremy and Joy S at their beautiful home in River Falls. Meeting every Thursday at 5:30-8:30pm.  1st & 3rd Thursdays will be social/fun/games/etc., 2nd & 4th Thursdays will be a Bible study.

"Walking in Your Authority" meets from 6-8pm on the second Fridays of each month at our elders Dennis and Cathy D's home in River Falls, WI. Knowing your authority allows you to fulfill the call God has on your life to do great exploits! Talk to Dennis, Cathy, or the church office for directions and details.

This new group for young men ages 16-35 will focus on the physical, spiritual, and emotional aspects of an individual.  Starting at 6:30am Saturday mornings, there'll be physical training, and spiritual mentorship and discipling combined.  Scan the code, or contact the church office to get connected, or for more details.

Our Men of Valor men's breakfast gets together typically on second Saturdays at 8am.   Guys getting together to support each other and spur one another on to a victorious life in Christ.

Equipping and Encouraging Women won't be meeting in October.  We'll let you know the date of the next gathering when is gets closer. This is an opportunity for all the women of RVCC to meet together, enjoy breakfast, and connect with one another in a significant way outside of a Sunday morning. Through enriching discussion, encouragement, and personal testimony, the goal is to walk out Titus 2:3-5 with older women teaching what is good, and training younger women in a variety of roles.
Our focus is encouragement for the current challenges we face, and open discussion and sharing. ALL women are encouraged to attend; singles, young married women, young mothers, seasoned mothers, empty nesters, and older women are all encouraged to come! We need the full spectrum, or we’ll forfeit the Titus 2 purpose.
This is a “Mom’s Only” event, but nursing babies are always welcome. The group will meet at Renae J's home north of Stillwater.  

We have some dedicated young people who are committed to heading up this pre-service prayer time and cover our Sunday mornings with prayer.  Join them Sundays at 9am in Room 28, across the hall from the far gym/sanctuary doors. 

Pretty much all our ministries around the church are looking for volunteers.  Especially with the move into the new facility now we need extras of several ministries, and then some, with increased maintenance, etc.  Security is one that we need to expand, just to make sure the extra entrances and children's area are watched.  
Our Hospitality Ministry, which includes the Greeter, Usher, Info Table, and Cookie Ministries is looking to include more volunteers. If you are interested, talk to Pastor Peter, or contact the church office.

Our Children's Ministry is looking for some volunteers, too. What an incredible opportunity to advance the Kingdom by helping bring them up in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord." Talk to Pastor Shiloh or contact the church office about this, too! A background check is required to work with our Children's Ministry.
