The Weekend of June 7, 2026
Here we are! The first weekend as CPC! Pretty exciting, don't you think? God is good, and we are blessed to have a new home, new name, and new opportunities to advance the Kingdom!
Join us Sunday morning at 9:30 in the gym at Houlton Elementary School at 70 Houlton School Circle. There'll be some issues to overcome, and adjustments to be made that we haven't even thought of yet, but we'll handle them as they come and make it all work. Together!

Speaking of Adjustments
One thing we're going to have to figure out in the short term is parking! The school's lot is smaller than the one we're used to. Not too many students drove themselves to elementary school, evidently. Go figure...
We're planning on having some people out helping direct in the parking lot, and try to squeeze in everyone we can. After that, we'll need to go to overflow parking.
The lot closest to our building, though, is the one for the St. Croix River Crossing Loop Trail (circled in red on the map below) which requires a park pass! We don't recommend parking there without one. Daily park passes are available through St. Croix County and cost $5. Yearly passes are $30. The fine for parking without a pass is $30. If you would like to get a pass for yourself/family, that can be done at this link: https://secure.rec1.com/WI/st-croix-county-wi/catalog

We ARE planning on running a shuttle from the park-and-ride lot just to the South, across Hwy 35 from our location (marked in yellow). That is free for anyone to park there. It's a bit farther than the Trail lot, but we want to be really good neighbors and not blow in ignoring the rules already in place. PG will be chauffeuring this first week. He's an excellent driver... It might be a little less convenient, but a better witness as the "new guys" in town. And we really want to be good neighbors!
No Crossing Point Church Phones for a Couple of Weeks

Like we've mentioned previously, the RVCC phones were disconnected, and we won't have phones at CPC for at least a couple more weeks! If you're needing to get in contact with the office, we recommend email or contacting the individual directly. Once the system is up and running in the new site we'll let everyone know that number, etc. but for now we're still be using our "@rvcc.info" emails for communication. All those changes just take time... Thanks for being patient.
Brian Essary at Rivers of Living Water Church
Brian Essary will be back in the area at our fellow RVFM church Rivers of Living Water in Maplewood! He's teaching his Miracle Lifestyle University the second week of June. Contact Pastor Johnny or click their name to go to the ROLW website for more information.
Lift Bridge Road Races Outreach
We're continuing with our outreaches helping with Run Stillwater races this summer. The next race is Saturday, June 27. Pastor Peter is handling the scheduling, so contact the church office or talk to him to sign up for a position.
Greg Mohr Coming to Crossing Point Church
Greg Mohr is scheduled to minister at Crossing Point Church!
If you remember, he was supposed to come earlier this year to RVCC, but needed to stay home to care for his wife, who was having surgery. He'll be in town at the end of June and will minister at a special Saturday evening Charis Bible College Alumni event, held at Crossing Point Church, that the public is welcomed to attend June 27 at 6:30pm, then again Sunday, June 28 at CPC's 9:30am weekly service.

Download Our App!

Download our CPC church app from your app store today! Actually at this point when we looked for it it's still listed as RVCC in the store...still working on that! [We'll find lots of these types of things. If you notice something let us know at the church office, thanks!]
There are all sorts of features, and we're tweaking it to make it even more helpful as a way to stay connected. Service video is streamed there as well as on our YouTube channel. There are groups for communicating and chatting with others in the CPC family, and much more! Search for "RVCC Lake Elmo" or CLICK HERE.

2026 Daily Bible Reading Plan!
One of our top goals as a church is always to help you keep up on (or get into) a daily Bible reading habit. We started a daily reading program January 1. It is available on our app, so it's seriously easy to follow along!
Open the app on your device, click "Bible" on the bottom menu.
From the Bible portion of the app, click "Plan" to take you to the daily readings!
Get into the daily habit now, even if it's not our particular program! We want you to get the WORD in YOU! Contact the church office if you have questions.

Diaper Donations

We are always accepting diaper and wipes donations for Options for Women-St. Croix Valley. As a church we're not anti-abortion but PRO-LIFE, and try to back that up by helping out mothers who choose life for their child. This is an easy way to do that. Organizationally we support Options with a monthly monetary donation, but diapers are one item they always need to help support the mothers relying on their services. Whenever you are shopping and pick some up, drop them off with Pastor Greg the next time you come to church and he will make sure they get to OFW.
As you can see above, they are looking for some volunteers. Get in touch with them at the number provided if you are available to help.

If you would like to connect with one of our Elders for any reason during the week, contact the church office and we'll get you in touch!
Take Us With You

Podcast listeners can listen to audio from our Sunday morning services on several platforms. Find us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music and Audible. Search for, "River Valley Christian Church Lake Elmo MN" [yeah, we're still working on that, too] on your preferred podcast app, then subscribe and listen anywhere, any time, however you like to listen!
We also have an RVFM Podcast gathering messages from our affiliated churches in one spot. CLICK HERE if you use Spotify, and CLICK HERE if you're an Apple Podcast person! If you have trouble with any of these contact Pastor Greg in the church office and he'll try to help you sort it out.

Here is a summary of groups and classes we have going on currently during the week. Most of these are included on the Church Calendar.
Just a note, some of these are affected by the lack of a church building for the next couple of weeks. If you have any doubts contact the class/group leader, or email the church office and we'll try to stave off any confusion. Thanks for bearing with us as we're homeless in the short term.

Crew Young Adult Group

Our CREW Young Adult group gets together on Mondays at 6:30pm. Contact the church office or talk to Pastor Peter for more information.
Freedom Group
At this point, since we are without a home, this group may be taking a couple of weeks off. Not necessarily the best, but it's what it is. Our Freedom Group typically meets on Monday evenings at 7pm. It is a Bible-based chemical dependency group coordinated by our Elders Wayne & Patrice B. Contact the church office for more information.

Women's Group

Healing Hearts meets first and third Tuesdays at 6pm at our Elder Cathy D's home office in River Falls, WI. It is a confidential group for ladies 18+ who have been betrayed in a relationship. You are welcome at any time to jump in and join.
Know it's the enemy who would want to keep you isolated. This group is here to listen, love, pray, and stand with you.
If you have questions about the group please contact the church office, or Cathy directly!

Tuesday Night Bible Study
Tuesdays at 6pm Linda B teaches a study on the Gospel of John. They will be moving the study to a member's home in River Falls, WI while we are "homeless." If you would like directions, or have questions about the group, please contact the church office.

Wednesday Morning Prayer
If you've got time during the week you can always join us for prayer! Last week the group met outside of the Dunn Brothers coffee shop in Stillwater. This week, they're planning on being at Washington Square Park in Stillwater, at 915 Abbott St W, across Churchill St. from Lakeview Hospital. Look for them under the picnic shelter.
The group has prayed Wednesday mornings starting at 10am for as long as we had a building! We plan on it starting back up again once we have possession of the new building. It usually goes for about an hour. Everyone is welcome to come in and pray!

Wednesday Nights

Our Wednesday night Saplings Elementary Age class and Vessels Youth Group are prepping for upcoming camps!
We usually take a hiatus from all our midweek classes from June thru August so everyone can enjoy summer vacations, etc. All our Wednesday night classes, including Children, Youth, and Adults will restart in the fall in our new location!

Walking In Your Authority

"Walking in Your Authority" meets from 6-8pm on the second Fridays of each month at our elders Dennis and Cathy D's home in River Falls, WI. Knowing your authority allows you to fulfill the call God has on your life to do great exploits! Talk to Dennis, Cathy, or the church office for directions and details.

Men of Valor

Our Men of Valor Men's Breakfast is working on figuring out SOME SORT of plan for meeting in June, but with the move and everything in storage it's a struggle. If we get something worked out, we will let you know ASAP. If not, look forward to July! We're men, we can adapt, right?
Equipping and Encouraging Women

Our Equipping and Encouraging Women breakfast group is not scheduled for June or July. The next scheduled breakfast is August 15 with a flower arranging workshop and pitch-in breakfast! Put it on your calendar, and we'll remind you when it gets closer to time.

Pre-Service Prayer
We have some dedicated young people who are committed to heading up this pre-service prayer time and cover our Sunday mornings with prayer. Join them Sundays at 9am in or around the new building somewhere this week!
Opportunities To Serve

Pretty much all our ministries around the church are looking for volunteers. Especially with the move into the new facility we'll need extras of several ministries. Security is one that we need to expand, just to make sure the extra entrances and children's area are watched.
Our Hospitality Ministry, which includes the Greeter, Usher, Info Table, and Cookie Ministries is looking to include more volunteers. If you are interested, talk to Pastor Peter, or contact the church office.

Our Children's Ministry is looking for some volunteers, too. What an incredible opportunity to advance the Kingdom by helping bring them up in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord." Talk to Pastor Shiloh or contact the church office about this, too! A background check is required to work with our Children's Ministry.

Giving to CPC
If you would like to donate to Crossing Point Church and its ministries, etc. you can mail a check to the church office. At this point, until we get all the "new name" financial stuff legally switched over, please continue to write RVCC on any checks. Until we're in the new location permanently mail is being held for us when sent to the Lake Elmo address, so you can continue to use that as well.

The Fast Talk At The End Of The Commercial
OBLIGATORY LEGAL NOTICE OF RELEASE OF CROSSING POINT CHURCH, ITS SUCCESSORS, ASSIGNS AND LICENSEES FROM ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER OF ANY NATURE! We live-stream and record our service, so your presence here constitutes your consent to be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded, and for CPC to use the recording without compensation in any and all media for as long as it exists. No, we're not anticipating making a boatload of money off of an image of the back of your head, or you worshipping with your hands in the air...but we figured it would be a good idea to let you know you could end up on our livestream, social media, etc.
IF you would rather opt out of having your image posted online, please contact the church office and let us know.
